We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace. (1 Chronicles 29:15). As Christians we can feel the tug of Heaven. We have a longing for something that Earth never can deliver. We know that ultimately, only Heaven can. The great moments on Earth are just pale imitations of greater things to come.
We were created for something more—much more. Jesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2). As Christians, we need to remember that we’re going to a real place. Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people. Are you prepared?
